Studio sale went well and brought in over $600. The first person walked in, started talking about how great David was and I burst into tears. So there was that. He did the most perfect thing, asked me if I wanted a hug. Many people back away when I cry so a welcome relief. More tears than that in the course of the day with people and once, hopelessly, weeping alone in the studio. One woman even asked if she should leave and I said, “Oh no, this just happens.” LOL
I am glad to have working artists and art students buy his equipment and materials. David would have been too. I was sad to let what he loved go. I am happy to see the space open up, the walls open up and more places to show his art. And Dave would be both sad and happy too.
