Vulnerability Day 13

Magic is real. The day David died, September 10, 2016, my sister, Elsie, who creates beautiful, intuitive soul collage cards, made this one for me. It depicts a bear swimming, half above and half below a horizon with a tulip growing in the middle.
What she didn’t know is that we had a joke that he was like a big ole bear, especially because when his back itched he would scratch it against a door or the corner of a wall, like a bear does against a tree. In the last hours, David seemed to be sometimes with me (below) and other times seeing people and sights I couldn’t see (above). The tulip represented growth through every moment for me and him.
This card which Elsie made, without being with us or even speaking to me, perfectly represented our experience. When she gave it to me, four months later, I cried because it was so true.
