My best friend and I just went out to dinner, ate at the bar and overheard this conversation between a couple of guys and a couple of seemingly receptive women.
Clearly they had never met before and one of the men said, “I’m a mallard. I mate for life.”
I almost choked on my drink. Seriously?!! Afterwards we rushed home to google mallard mating habits and they AREN’T even monogamous.
I am now very worried about my prospects in the distant future when I start dating again. No interest in mallards, especially as a pick-up line. A better question is would he get my number or even a first date?
